About Us

Patches of Kyogle is located in the town of Kyogle in the Northern Rivers region of northern New South Wales, on the banks of the Richmond River. Kyogle is known as the gateway to many National Parks including the Border Ranges and Toonumbar National Park.

After buying our property four years ago we finally decided to call Kyogle home
and start the rest of our lives in this friendly country atmosphere.

Growing up under my mother’s sewing machine, asking if any bits falling on the floor were scraps, I would set about making all my dolls clothes. My Mum, Dulcie was an amazing sewer and some of her beautiful china dolls are on display.

For several years my friend Jane and I designed, sewed and sold our children’s range of clothing, Pigeon Pair. Some of our range included touches of patchwork and applique and my interest in quilting grew from there. Always having had a passion for cross stitch and hand applique moving to quilting seemed like the next step.

Patches of Kyogle is an inviting, comfortable and welcoming shop that stocks a large range of fabrics, threads, selected craft, haberdashery and interesting, unique gifts.

New fabrics are continually arriving making for something new to see with each visit.

Also stocking beautifully hand made buttons by Nikki Tervoand her pattern range, Brandy Gully, Judy Niemeyer patterns that look beautiful using batiks, Matilda’s Own batting and many interesting bits and pieces you will be able to spend a happy time browsing around.

We are RV friendly as we are situated just off the main road with easy parking.

Holding many social quilting & sewing groups, classes and workshops I am always happy to have a cuppa while discussing all things quilting.

Feel free to pop in and experience some friendly old fashioned customer service.
